7 female candidates elected in election

Seven female candidates have won across the country in the 13th National Parliamentary Election.
Six out of the seven elected candidates are from the BNP while the rest are independent candidate.
The BNP’s elected female MP’s are Afroza Khanam Rita from Manikganj-3, Israt Sultana Elen Bhutto from Jhalakathi-2, Tahsina Rushdir Luna from Sylhet-2, Shama Obaed from Faridpur-2, Chowdhury Nayab Yusuf Kamal from Faridpur-3, Farzana Sharmin Putul from Natore-1. The independent winning MP is Barrister Rumin Farhana from Brahmanbaria-2.
Based on the preliminary results announced by the Election Commission, all of them have secured victory in their respective constituencies.
It is worth noting that in the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is set to form the government for the fourth time after a long 20 years, securing an absolute majority.
Out of 299 seats, according to unofficial results, candidates contesting with the party’s “Sheaf of Paddy” symbol have won 209 seats.
