Banking hrs from 9:30am to 2:30pm in Ramadan

Bangladesh Bank has changed the timings of bank offices and customer transactions in the upcoming month of Ramadan.
During Ramadan, customer transactions in all scheduled banks of the country will continue from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Office activities of the bank will continue from 9:30 am to 4pm.
On Tuesday the Supervisory Data Management and Analytics Department of Bangladesh Bank issued a circular in this regard.
The circular states that there will be a break for Zuhr prayers every day from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm during. However, customer transactions will have to continue through alternative arrangements during this time.
Currently, banking transactions are conducted during normal hours from 10 am to 4 pm and office hours are from 10 am to 6 pm.
However, Bangladesh Bank shortens the office and transaction timings every year on the occasion of the month of Ramadan. Ramadan is likely to start in the country from next week.
The circular also mentions that bank office and transaction hours will return to their previous rules after the end of Ramadan.
