Lahore pick up Emon, Peshawar recruit Nahid
Sports Reporter :
Bangladeshi cricketers are the centre of attention in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) this time.
This is evidenced even before the start of the auction for the 11th season. 4 cricketers from Bangladesh will participate in this season.
One of them got a team before the auction, the other 3 got their teams in the auction.
Parvez Hossain Emon is in top form. The 23-year-old batter has joined Lahore Qalandars for Pakistani Rupees 60 lakh.
Although he was unsold in the first round, the current champion and 3-time title winners recruited him to the team when his name was mentioned in the auction for the second time.
Peshawar Zalmi picked up Nahid Rana. Nahid Rana has got a team in the second call in PSL.
He will play for Peshawar Zalmi for Rupees 60 lakh rupees. Nahid was also a part of this team in the last PSL, although he did not have the opportunity to play.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars picked up Mustafizur Rahman to the team before the PSL auction.
With the inclusion of Mustafiz in the team after his name was cut from the IPL, Lahore has also garnered the support of the Bangladeshi audience.
Lahore Qalandars directly included the ‘Cutter Boy’ for Pakistani Rupees 6 crore 44 lakh.
Rishad Hossain has shown a surprise like Mustafiz. Rishad, who played a big role in making Lahore Qalandars the champions in the last season, has now signed his name for a new team.
The team is Rawalpindi Express. They picked up Rishad Hossain for Pakistani Rupees three crore.
Among the Bangladeshis who got a team in the last PSL, Shakib Al Hasan, Mehedi Hasan Miraj and Litton Das did not get a team this time.
Shakib and Miraj were in Lahore in the 10th edition of the PSL, both were called up to the team towards the end of the tournament, but Miraj did not get a chance to play a match.
Litton was called up to Karachi Kings and also joined the team. Although he was ruled out due to injury, he did not play any match either.
