Security tightened at Jailahead

Security has been significantly reinforced at Khulna District Jail-2 (Metropolitan) ahead of the upcoming national parliamentary election.

Prison authorities said heightened measures have been put in place to prevent any untoward incidents during the election period.

Both internal and external security arrangements have been strengthened, including deployment of additional guards, intensified patrols, and strict search operations at entry points.

Officials concerned noted that surveillance inside and around the facility has been increased to maintain law and order during the sensitive election timeframe.

Authorities also said they remain on high alert and are fully prepared to respond to any emerging situation to ensure overall security and stability.
