Jamaat leader arrested at Saidpur Airport with Tk 50 lakh in cash

Thakurgaon district Jamaat Ameer Belal Uddin was detained at Syedpur Airport on Wednesday morning while carrying a large sum of money.

Nilphamari Superintendent of Police Sheikh Zahidul Islam confirmed the information to the media at around 12:45pm on Wednesday.

He said that Belal Uddin was detained with nearly Tk 50 lakh, though the exact amount is still being counted.
