Death threat to independent candidate

Kazi Khairuzzaman Shipon, an independent candidate (deer symbol) for Bagerhat-4 (Sharankhola and Morrelganj upazilas) Constituency has received death threat from a foreign mobile phone number. KaziKhairuzzamanShipon lodged a GD (General Diary) with Morrelganj Police Station on Sunday (February 08) afternoon regarding this incident.

KaziKhairuzzamanShipon told, on Sunday at 11-05 pm, someone called me on my mobile phone number (+919748894622)) and threatened me to cause a great damage and kill me. If I call that number again, they threatened to kill me along with verbal abuse. Before this some unknown people threatened me several times from unknown mobile numbers.

Following this I and my family members are living in fear. In this connection I have filed a General Diary with Morrelganj Police Station for my safety.

This candidate seeks proper intervention from the administration for the safety of his life.
