BADC gets new Chairman

Md Azizul Islam, an additional secretary-rank officer of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh government, has affirmed the role of Chairman of the Bangladesh Agricultural Development Corporation (BADC), a key institution under the Ministry of Agriculture.

The appointment follows a notification issued on February 5, 2026, by the Research-1 Wing of the Ministry of Public Administration (Memo No. 115).

Azizul Islam formally joined BADC on Sunday. A member of the 18th batch of the BCS Administration Cadre, Azizul Islam began his career in January 1999 as an Assistant Commissioner and Magistrate. Prior to this posting, he successfully served as a member of the Administrative Appellate Tribunal.
