Coast guard ensures smooth voting in Khulna

The Coast guard has started performing sticking force duties in Mongla and Sundarbans coast areas to ensure smooth control of the election of the National Parliamentary Election.

As part of this, they patrolled the Mongla Coast Guard of the West Zone and Sundarbans from Monday morning. Lt. Siamul Haq, media officer of the organization’s headquarters said that efforts will continue to create festive voting environment through special surveillance and regular patrol at polling stations including performing duties in risky and sensitive areas.

He said that since the establishment of the Bangladesh Coast Guard has been ensuring the security of the country maritime, coastal and riverine areas and has become a symbol of trust of the coastal people through regular operations to protect the lives and properties of the people.

The Bangladesh Coast Guard is committed to conducting the 13th National Parliamentary Election and Referendum to be held on February 12, 2026 in free, fair and peaceful manner.

To this end, duties are being performed at polling stations in remote and important areas along the coast and rivers for a total of 28 days from January 18 to February 14, 2026. Its continuation of this, Coast Guard members are on duty at 56 polling stations in 11 Unions of Dakop and Kyra Upazilas of Khulna-1 and Khulna-6 constituencies under the West Zone. A peaceful and festive atmosphere will be maintained through special intelligence surveillance, drone and drone surveillance, regular patrol and necessary legal measure in risky and sensitive areas.
