What Jaya says about Epstein
Entertainment Report :
Actress Jaya Ahsan has always proven herself with diverse work. But this time, while talking about her upcoming film ‘OCD’, she brought up another chapter in life and issues of social responsibility.
In a recent interview, Jaya said that the burden of responsibility increases several times in any work centered around children.
Jaya said that she has a strange addiction to perfection in acting.
The actress said, “I have OCD about perfect acting. It just feels like all my acting is becoming the same. Sometimes when I challenge myself, I get bored; I reach the peak of mental stress. I tell myself that I am human, but my mind doesn’t listen.”
In this film, Jaya plays a character who was sexually abused as a child. To portray this sensitive subject, the actress had to do extensive research on pedophilia.
In Jaya’s words, “Where children are involved, the responsibility increases a lot. Sexual attraction to children is not a common thing; it is a serious mental disorder. Unfortunately, not much has been done about this pedophilia in Bengali cinema.”
Talking about the ‘Epstein file’ that is being discussed around the world, Jaya expressed her anger and said, “This is a mental illness. When a normal person sees a child, they feel affection and love.
But when some people see their children, they feel sexual desire. They want to see the inside of that body. In fact, this is an illness.” Jaya has also spoken openly about adopting a child in her personal life. She said, “I can adopt a child if I want, I don’t need to give birth to one.
But the biggest obstacle is the environment. If you bring a child into the world, you have to ensure a safe haven for it first. But people are now only busy with themselves.”
