BNP election rally held in Binedpur

Chapainawabganj Correspondent :

“In 1971, we, the brave freedom fighters, fought against the Pakistani army on the soil of Binedpur and achieved the independence of our country.

Now, Jamaat-e-Islami is trying to mislead the people by seeking votes under the pretext of promising heaven, undermining the hard-earned independence. But their intention will not succeed. Just as in the 1971 Liberation War, they will be defeated in this parliamentary election, InshaAllah.

Conscious citizens will vote for the Paddy symbol to protect independence and uphold the spirit of the Liberation War. This election is a choice between the Liberation War and its opponents,” said Bir Muktijoddha Professor Md. Shahjahan Mia, the BNP-nominated candidate for Chapainawabganj-1 Shibganj, while delivering his speech as the chief guest.

at the election rally organized by the Binedpur Union BNP.
The rally was held on Wednesday, in the football field of Binedpur High School in the afternoon. Professor Shahjahan Mia further stated, “In the spirit of the Liberation War, to protect independence, restore democracy, establish good governance, and safeguard people’s rights, there is no alternative to the Paddy symbol. We want to build a livable and safe Bangladesh, free from revenge and terrorism. So let us prevent Jamaat from selling the ticket to heaven and ensure the people’s rights by voting for the Paddy symbol, regardless of religion or caste.”

The event was presided over by Binedpur Union Election Committee convener Mojibur Rahman and moderated by senior vice-president Syron Ali. Special guests included Upazila BNP convener Md. Ashraful Haque, BNP member secretary Tosikul Alam, former general secretary Alhaj Ashraful Alam Rashid, and former Upazila Parishad vice-chairman Md. Shahidul Haque Haideri, among others.
