Book ‘Transforming Cancer Diagnosis with Next-Generation AI’ unveiled

The book “Transforming Cancer Diagnosis with Next-Generation AI” by Dr. Kawsher Rahman was formally unveiled on January 29, 2026, Thursday morning in the Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall of the National Press Club.
The event was moderated by Advocate Tania Hamid and drew participation from members of the medical, academic, and media communities.
Among the special guests were Mosharraf Hossain, Director (Technical) of Delonix International Ltd, Mahmuda Sultana, Asadur Rahman, senior journalist Syed Mushfiqur Rahman, Taslima Khatun and Anjuman Ara Shilpi. The welcome address was delivered by Mahmuda Sultana.
Dr. Kawsher Rahman, MBBS, MPH, MNFS, is a medical professional and researcher currently serving as the in-charge and resident medical officer at the Beanibazar Cancer and General Hospital Foundation in Sylhet.
He has a strong background in clinical medicine, public health, and academic research, with a growing reputation in cancer diagnostics, artificial intelligence-based medical applications, tumor genomics, and precision-targeted therapies.
Previously, Dr. Rahman served different international organisations like Faculty of International Studies at “Jiujiang University” in China, general practitioner at AMDC in Malé, Maldives, gaining extensive experience in healthcare; and health coordinator, Al-Khair Foundation, UK.
Dr. Rahman’s current research interests include predictive analytics, generative artificial intelligence, AI-powered diagnostics, early cancer detection and prevention, cancer awareness, public health, cardiology, and food and nutrition.
An active contributor to scholarly publications, his citation metrics continue to rise, reflecting his growing impact on both national and international medical research communities.
