Trust Bank & PKSF sign credit guarantee agreement

Trust Bank PLC and Palli Karma Sahayak Foundation (PKSF) signed a significant Credit Guarantee Agreement under the Credit Enhancement Scheme (CES) on last week 2026, in Dhaka, aiming to enhance access to formal financial services for micro entrepreneurs in underserved regions across the country.

The agreement was formally signed by Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Trust Bank PLC, and MdFazlul Kader, Managing Director of PKSF, in the presence of senior officials from both organizations, according to a press release.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, Md Fazlul Kader said, “This initiative will simplify access to formal credit for micro entrepreneurs at the grassroots level, opening new avenues for business expansion.”

Ahsan Zaman Chowdhury, MD & CEO of Trust Bank PLC, stated, “This agreement creates new opportunities for grassroots micro-entrepreneurs and will contribute significantly to inclusive economic development.”

Launched in May 2025 with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the countries first structured Credit Enhancement Scheme aims to reduce credit risks for financial institutions while promoting productivity, financial inclusion, and sustainable growth in the grassroots sector.
