Nagad transactions hit monthly record high, reaching Tk 40,000cr

Nagad, the digital financial service of the Bangladesh Post Office, has set a record by processing Tk 40,301 crore in transactions in just-concluded January this year, marking the highest monthly volume in its history.
Within seven years of its journey, Nagad has established itself as a leading mobile financial service in Bangladesh, seeing significant growth in both customer numbers and transaction frequency.
A major portion of this record-breaking volume came from cash-in, cash-out, send money, various payments, utility bill settlements, mobile recharges, and inward remittances. Nagad Administrator, Md. Motasem Billah expressed his appreciation to stakeholders, noting that the company’s focus on customer trust and user-friendly services has driven this growth. He also said that as a digital financial wing of the Bangladesh Post Office, Nagad is moving forward by ensuring greater security of customer funds and expanding its service range, which continues to attract new users and increase engagement from existing ones.
