DITF wraps up Tk224.26cr in export orders

The 30th Dhaka International Trade Fair (DITF-2026) concluded on Saturday recording export orders worth Tk 224.26 crore and local sales of Tk 393 crore over the month-long event.
Commerce Adviser Sheikh Bashiruddin, as the chief guest, officially declared the fair closed, with Commerce Secretary Mahbubur Rahman presiding over the ceremony. FBCCI Administrator Md Abdur Rahim Khan and Export Promotion Bureau Vice Chairman and CEO Mohammad Hasan Arif also attended the event.
Fair authorities reported that 329 domestic and international companies took part, securing potential export orders worth $17.98 million (Tk 224.26 crore).
The main export sectors covered multi-purpose jute products, electrical and electronic goods, home appliances, cosmetics, hygiene products, processed foods, handlooms, textiles, home textiles, Nakshi Kantha, and various fabrics.
Export orders were received from countries such as Afghanistan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Turkey.
Local sales at the fair, including restaurant revenues, totaled around Tk 393 crore, reflecting a 3.42% increase over DITF-2025.
The organizers also honored outstanding participants, awarding 40 companies for top pavilions, stalls, and overall performance, evaluated on factors such as architectural design, product presentation, customer service, hygiene, digital content, and innovation.
This year’s fair hosted 329 companies, including 11 participants from India, Turkey, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong, and Malaysia.
Exhibitors showcased and sold a diverse range of products and services, including clothing, leather goods, jute products, agricultural and agro-processed items, furniture, electrical and electronic products, cosmetics, home décor, toys, stationery, crockery, handicrafts, plastic and melamine products, herbal and toiletry items, imitation jewelry, and real estate services, representing cottage, micro, small, medium, and large-scale industries.
Participants from cottage, micro, small, medium, and large-scale industries showcased an extensive variety of products, including readymade garments, leather goods, jute and jute products, agricultural and agro-processed items, furniture, and electrical and electronic goods.
The fair also featured cosmetics, home décor, toys, stationery, crockery, handicrafts, plastic and melamine products, herbal and toiletry items, imitation jewellery, real estate products and services, along with fast food and a range of service-oriented offerings.
To promote export diversification and strengthen exporters’ capacities, eight seminars were held as part of a series led by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB).
The seminars were organized with the support of the Ministry of Commerce, government trade development agencies such as BSCIC, SME Foundation, and JDPC, as well as product-based trade associations including BPGMEA, BJAPMEA, BFPIA, and Banglacraft. Development partners like the World Bank, GIZ, FCDO, and BSI also contributed to the initiative.
