SJIB electes its Chairman, Vice-Chairmen

Mohammed Younus has been unanimously elected as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC in its 404th Board meeting held on Wednesday.
In the same meeting, Mohiuddin Ahmed reelected and Fakir Akhtaruzzaman elected as Vice-Chairmen respectively of the Board of Directors of the Bank.
The newly elected Chairman Mohammed Younus was born in a respectable Muslim family in Munshiganj District in 1958.
Renowned industrialist and businessman Younus has a long and creditable business experience more than three decades and engaged in Papers, IT, Insurance, Marchant Bank, Agro Sector, Rubber, Fabrics and Cold Storages Trade Industry.
The reelected Vice-Chairman of the Bank Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed was born in a respectable Muslim family in 1955 at Bangshal in the old city of Dhaka. He has a long and successful business experience for more than four decades.
Renowned businessman Mohiuddin is the proprietor of Rupsha Trading Corporation and Mohiuddin Auto House. He is also the Chairman of Pecific Automobiles.
Mohiuddin Ahmed is the Vice-Chairman of Shahjalal Islami Bank Securities and Sponsor Shareholder of Islami Insurance Bangladesh Ltd.
He is the former ViceChairman and member of the Governing Body of Southeast University. He is also a former Director of Bangladesh Chamber of Industries (BCI) Mohiuddin is engaged in several social welfare organizations since a long time.
He has made significant contributions to education and health services. Mr. Mohiuddin Ahmed has traveled to various countries of the world for the sake of his business activities.
The another elected Vice-Chairman Fakir Akhtaruzzaman was born in 1956 in a respectable Muslim family at Panchrukhi, Araihazar in Narayanganj District and started business after completion of his education.
Fakir Akhtaruzzaman is the Managing Director of Fakir Knitwear’s Limited, FKL Spinning Ltd., and Zaman Agro Fisheries Ltd. He has been awarded with National Export Trophy (Gold, Silver) several times and also selected as CIP by the Government of Bangladesh for his outstanding contribution to national economy.
In addition to the success in trade and business, Akhtaruzzaman is immensely reputed for his contribution to the field of education and health.
