Facilitate Visa Services: Dhaka appreciates Greek embassy initiative

Bangladesh has formally expressed its deep appreciation for the recent official visit of a Greek delegation from the Embassy of Greece in New Delhi, led by Aliki Koutsomitopoulou, Ambassador of Greece, to facilitate visa-related services for Bangladeshi nationals in Dhaka.
In an official communique, Bangladesh described the initiative as a pragmatic and humane diplomatic step aimed at easing interview and visa application procedures for a significant number of Bangladeshi applicants, said a press release.
Under the existing system, many prospective travelers face operational and financial difficulties in traveling to New Delhi to complete required formalities.
The deployment of the Greek delegation to Bangladesh was welcomed as a forward-looking response that enhanced accessibility, improved procedural efficiency, and upheld the principles of lawful labor mobility to Greece, in coordination with Greek employers and enterprises.
Bangladesh conveyed its sincere appreciation to Ambassador Koutsomitopoulou for what it termed an exemplary diplomatic engagement and encouraged the continuation of similar constructive initiatives that serve the mutual interests of both countries and further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
The communiqué also acknowledged the substantial presence of Bangladeshi nationals living and working in the Hellenic Republic, noting their positive contributions to the Greek economy and society.
It highlighted that Bangladeshi workers consistently demonstrate respect and appreciation for Greece, a country recognized for its rich cultural heritage and its lasting influence on global civilization.
Describing the initiative as one received with the highest consideration and esteem, Bangladesh noted that such engagements reinforce the longstanding bonds of friendship, cooperation, and mutual understanding between the Bangladesh and the Hellenic Republic.
The statement concluded by reaffirming Bangladesh’s commitment to deepening bilateral relations and extending assurances of its highest consideration to the Government and people of Greece.
