Staff Reporter :
Home Affairs Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd.) Md. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury has said that there is no risk of the election being sabotaged as Awami fascists and their militant collaborators have fled the country.
He said that if they had any courage, they would have returned to the country and sought legal recourse. He added that those who supported them have also gone into hiding in various countries, and the government will request those countries to repatriate these terrorists to Bangladesh.
He made these remarks on Tuesday morning while responding to journalists after attending the passing-out parade of the 63rd batch of female prison guards at the parade ground of Kashimpur Central Jail in Gazipur.
The Home Affairs Adviser said that prisons are extremely sensitive and important institutions and an integral part of the criminal justice system. In the current global context, security and human rights are complementary to each other in prison administration.
In this regard, the role of well-trained and humane prison guards is undeniable. He expressed hope that the newly trained recruits would play an effective role in implementing this through honesty, efficiency, and professionalism.

The chief guest received the armed salute and guard of honour from the new trainees. He then enjoyed impressive demonstrations by the trainees, including physical drills and unarmed self-defense techniques.
At the end of the parade, trainee Raihana Akter Suborna received the award for Best Trainee across six categories, including drill, firing, unarmed combat, and written examination.
