Thermal oil heater explosion 1 killed, 3 injured

In Srimangal, Moulvibazar, a thermal oil heater explosion at the Rashni Polyfiber Industries Limited factory claimed the life of Md. Asadul Islam (45) and injured three others.

The incident occurred on Saturday, 18 January, around 10:30 PM, during the maintenance of the factory’s thermal oil heater machine in the Sorkar Bazar area of the upazila, when a backfire triggered the explosion.

The deceased was serving as the Assistant Manager of the factory and hailed from Gaibandha district. The injured are: Md. Abdul Hakim, a boiler helper from Sirajganj; Md. Abdul Bashar Chisty, an electrician from Bogura; and Golam Rabbani from Dhaka, who had come for service work.
