Winter clothes distribution prog held in Kaliganj

Voluntary organizations have stood by the helpless people affected by the bitter cold and bone-chilling cold in Kaliganj Upazila of Greater Rangpur.

On friday, ‘Profit Foundation’ organized a distribution of winter clothes (blankets) among 500 underprivileged families at the Dalgram Dwimukhi High School grounds in the upazila.

Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Shamima Akhter Jahan was present as the chief guest in this special event of love and compassion.

Laila Akhter Banu, Deputy Director of Lalmonirhat District Women’s Affairs Department, Md. Abu Masud Khan, Assistant Director of District Family Planning Office, and Md. Abu Zafar, Deputy Director of District Narcotics Control Department were present as special guests at the event.

The speakers highlighted the significance and importance of the winter clothes distribution program and welcomed such social initiatives. Md. Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Executive Director of Profit Foundation, among others, Md. Shamim Hossain, representative of Etzhjh, Md. Abdul Quddus, Headmaster of Dalgram High School, and members of the Profit Foundation (PF) team spoke.
