BNP, Jamaat candidates visit victim’s family

BNP Vice-Chairman and sheaf of paddy candidate Abdul Awal Mintu and Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate with the scale symbol Dr. Fakhruddin Manik offered condolences at the house of Shamir Das, the victim of the murder in Daganbhuya, Feni.

On Tuesday, both separately went to the house of Matu Bhuiyan Shamir Das and consoled his father.
It is known that on the night of January 11, Shamir Kumar Das, the son of Kartik Das of Ghat Ramanandpur Jale Para, Fazil, Matubhuiyan Union, No. 7, Daganbhuya Upazila, was brutally murdered by assailants.
At that time, both leaders were accompanied by their own party leaders and activists.

Dr. Manik strongly condemned and protested the murder and demanded immediate arrest and punishment of the murderers. At the same time, he spoke to Deputy Commissioner Monira Haque and Daganbhuyan Upazila Officer-in-Charge Fazle Azim Noman to know the progress of the administration’s work and take quick action.
Abdul Awal Mintu said that all those involved in this incident will be brought under the law soon.
He also assured personal support to the affected family.
