Ansar provides house to indigent members

Director General of Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force, Major General Abdul Motaleb Sajjad Mahmud, SGP, BAM, NDU, AFWC, PSC inaugurated a house of party leader of Fazilpur Union of Sadar Upazila of Feni district through teleconferencing on Sunday as part of the humanitarian welfare activities of the force.

At the inauguration ceremony, Feni District Commandant Md. Helal Uddin was present and constructed the house and handed it over to the indigent and homeless VDP party leader Ms. Rahima Akhter. Also present at the time were Shamim Ara Khatun, Avi Officer of Feni Sadar Upazila, Upazila Trainer Omar Faruk, and Ansar and VDP members.

Since assuming office, the current Director General has been continuously taking various initiatives to ensure the overall development of the force and the socio-economic security of its members, an important part of which is the construction and distribution of houses for the indigent and homeless VDP members.

District Commandant Md. Helal Uddin said that this initiative is not just providing a house, but also a humanitarian step to move the VDP members towards self-respect, security and a better future and this program will continue in phases. VDP party leader Md. Rahima Akhter expressed her gratitude to the Director General of the force after receiving the new house.
