City Desk :
The Election Commission (EC) has finished sending postal ballots to 767,028 expatriate voters in 121 countries to enable them to vote in the upcoming 13th National Parliament Election and the referendum.
EC sources said the process of dispatching postal ballots to expatriate voters began in phases on December 20 and was completed within nearly three weeks, covering all registered overseas voters.
Assistant Postmaster General of the Airport Sorting Office Shamim Sohani told the media that the Bangladesh Postal Department completed the dispatch of all postal ballots received from the EC to overseas destinations on Thursday.
“The ballots were sent through Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Emirates, Malaysia Airlines, Singapore Airlines and Saudia Airlines to ensure the fastest delivery,” he added.
