Open markets buzz with winter clothing

The sudden increase in the intensity of winter has brought a sense of boredom to public life. People are rushing out of their homes in search of warmth in the bitter cold.

This has had a direct impact on the winter clothing market in open fields and sidewalks. Especially low- and middle-class people are flocking to sidewalks and temporary shops to buy warm clothes at affordable prices.

A crowd of buyers is being observed from morning to night in various areas of Khulna city, including Ahsan Ahmed Road, the sidewalk adjacent to Khulna District Stadium, and the Khulna Circuit House ground. Some sellers are selling sweaters, some jackets, and some mufflers and hats. As the winter progresses, the number of buyers in these shops is also increasing.

The sidewalk sellers said that due to the sudden cold, sales have increased several times compared to the past few days. Especially, the demand for mufflers.

hats, children’s sweaters and light jackets is the highest. Many are buying warm clothes for multiple family members at once.
