50 AL, Jubo League leaders join BNP

Half a hundred leaders and activists of Awami League and Jubo League, whose activities are banned in Chatmohar, Pabna, have joined BNP.

Last Sunday night, they joined BNP by presenting a bouquet of flowers to Hasan Jafir Tuhin, the BNP-nominated MP candidate for Pabna-3 (Chatmohar, Bhangura, Faridpur) constituency and Krishakdal central president. At that time, Tuhin welcomed the joining leaders and activists by placing a garland of flowers around their necks.

Under the leadership of UP member of Ward 5 of Bilchalon Union of the upazila, General Secretary of Union Jubo League Md. Rezaul Karim, Bilchalon Union Ward 5 Awami League Vice President Azizul Haque, Union Jubo League Publicity Secretary Aslam Ali, Ward 8 Jubo League General Secretary Ujjal Hossain, Jubo League Organizing Secretary Asadul Islam and fifty leaders and activists joined BNP with confidence.

At this time, in addition to Hasan Jafir Tuhin, Dhaka Metropolitan South BNP Convening Committee member Adv. Arifa Sultana Ruma, Mayor BNP President Md. Asaduzzaman Arshed, BNP leader VP Selim Reza and leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliates were present.

Meanwhile, leaders and activists of Awami League and affiliates of Faridpur Upazila under Pabna-3 constituency at various levels have joined BNP. They joined the BNP on Monday through former Faridpur Upazila BNP convener Zahurul Islam Bakul. Among them, Upazila Awami League Vice President Rafiqul Islam Molla, B.L. Bari Union President A.G. Gafur, Upazila Awami League Treasurer Lokman Hossain, Office Secretary Shafiqul Islam, Demra Union Awami League General Secretary Ali Ashraf, Dulal Hossain, A.R. Rashid Member are notable. Multiple sources said that all these Awami League leaders and activists have joined the BNP to avoid the withdrawal of cases, promises of positions and arrests.
