National Social Service Day celebrated

The National Social Service Day was celebrated in Baraigram upazila of Natore. On this occasion, a rally and discussion meeting were organized on Saturday by the initiative of the Upazila Administration and Upazila Social Service Department.

The meeting organized at the Upazila Parishad auditorium under the chairmanship of Upazila Nirbahi Officer Laila Jannatul Ferdous and moderated by Upazila Social Service Officer Md Rezaul Karim.

It was addressed among others by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md Zubair Jahangir, Upazila Engineer Md Sultan Mahmud, freedom fighters Md Abul Khair and Md Boyet Reza, journalists Alhaj Md Saifur Rahman and Md Ohidul Haque, beneficiary members of the Social Service Department Joynal Abedin and Halima Khatun.

Beneficiary members from various unions and municipalities of the upazila and local people were present there.

Discussions were held on standing by the backward people of the society, promoting social security programs and welfare concepts, and raising awareness.
