Entertaining movies to watch this year
Entertainment Report :
Although the number of hit films in Dhallywood increased last year, the total number of releases declined. In the new year, filmmakers are once again gearing up for Eid releases.
However, besides Eid, several big-budget films are also planned for release this year. This report highlights the movies to watch out for in 2026.
Soldier : Starring Shakib Khan, Soldier is directed by Sakib Fahad. Built around a story of patriotism, action, and human emotions, the film also features Tariq Anam Khan, Touquir Ahmed, Tanjin Tisha, and Jannatul Ferdous Oishee along side Shakib Khan. According to sources, the shooting of the film is now in its final stages.
Rakkhosh : Directed by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, Rakkhosh stars Siam Ahmed and actress Susmita Chatterjee. The film’s first-look poster was released at the very end of last year, sparking widespread discussion.
After impressing audiences with Borbad starring Shakib Khan last year, director Hridoy is now placing his bet on Siam in Rakkhosh, where Siam will appear as an action hero.
Prince: One of the most talked-about films of the year, Prince stars Shakib Khan and is directed by Abu Hayat Mahmud.
In this action-based film, Shakib Khan is paired opposite Tasnia Farin, with Kolkata actress Jyotirmoyee Kundu also in the cast. Produced under the banner of Creative Land Philas, the film is expected to be released on Eid-ul-Fitr.
