CCC Mayor meets Tarique Rahman

After returning to the country after a long exile, Acting Chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Tarique Rahman was paid a courtesy call by Mayor of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Dr. Shahadat Hossain.

During the meeting at the VIP lounge of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday, Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain greeted the Acting Chairman with flowers and wished him good health and long life.

In this very cordial meeting, they briefly discussed the current political situation in the country and the developmental activities of Chattogram.

Mayor Shahadat Hossain said, the heroic return of patriot Tarique Rahman was a long-awaited desire of the people of Bangladesh.

Under his strong leadership, the movement to rebuild the country and restore democracy has gained a new dimension. On behalf of the people of Chattogram, I extend my heartfelt congratulations to him.

During the meeting, Tarique Rahman inquired about the current activities of the Chattogram City Corporation and gave the mayor necessary directions to develop Chattogram as a modern, clean and livable city.

He urged the CCC Mayor to continue working with honesty and dedication in serving the people. The party’s central and local level leaders were present at the time.
