UDJFB gets new committee

A new Executive Committee of the Urban Development Journalists Forum Bangladesh (UDJFB) has been formed for the next two years (2026-2027).

Matin Abdullah, Special Correspondent of Daily Jugantor, has been elected President, while Hasan Iman, Staff Reporter of Bangladesh Pratidin, has been elected General Secretary.

The new committee was formed through an election at the biennial general meeting held on Friday at a restaurant in Banglamotor in the capital. The names of the committee members were announced by Chief Election Commissioner Amitosh Pal. Other election commissioners were Khalid Saifullah of Naya Diganta and Mizanur Rahman of The Daily Observer.

The newly elected committee includes: Vice President: Rashed Ahmed, Senior Reporter, Desh Rupantor, Joint General Secretary: Yasin Rana, Staff Reporter, ATN Bangla, Treasurer: Rashedul Hasan, Senior Reporter, The Daily Sun, Organising Secretary: Zahidul Islam, Staff Reporter, Business Standard, Publicity and Publication Secretary: Billal Hossain Sagar, Staff Reporter, RTV, Office Secretary: Latiful Islam, Staff Reporter, Samakal, Training and Research Secretary: Rahat Hossain, Staff Reporter, Protidiner Bangladesh and Hospitality and Welfare Secretary: Delawar Hossain Dolon, Staff Reporter, Channel 24.
