Discrimination in payment in industry: Madhuri

Bollywood in the 90s is all about Madhuri Dixit’s world-conquering smile and magic eyes on the big screen.

Despite being the highest-paid actress in industry at that time, she was not free from discrimination. Madhuri said, “Change is necessary for progress.

There was a time when there was no vanity van on the set for any artiste, male or female. We used to sit in the sun with umbrellas.

We even had to change our clothes by folding our veils to create a shelter. Back then, we didn’t even think that it should change. Today, at least, there has
been change in those places.”
