The Gayebana-Janaza (absentee funeral prayer ) was held in Sylhet for the soul of Sharif Osman Hadi, a frontline fighter of the July movement, Inqilab Mancha.The funeral prayer was held in front of the Collect Mosque at Court Point in Sylhet after Zohr on Saturday at the initiative of the July Fighters’ Association, Sylhet District.People from all classes and professions participated in it, regardless of party affiliation.
At that time, a demand was also made for the immediate arrest of Osman Hadi’s killers and special prayers were offered for the soul of the deceased. The funeral prayer and munajat were conducted by the Assistant Collector of the Jame Mosque, Sani Hafiz Nurul Islam Kamal.
