A minor medical procedure success on Khaleda Zia Dr Zahid

BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment at Evercare Hospital in the capital, has successfully undergone a medical procedure on Friday, said Professor Dr AZM Zahid Hossain, a BNP Standing Committee member and her personal physician.

He made the remarks while speaking to journalists in front of Evercare Hospital on Friday afternoon.

Stating that the former prime minister’s physical condition is currently stable, Zahid Hossain said there has been no deterioration in Khaleda Zia’s health.

Zahid Hossain said, “Khaleda Zia has been receiving treatment at Evercare Hospital continuously for nearly a month since 23 November.

By the infinite mercy of Allah and the prayers of the people of the country, her physical condition is currently stable compared to the past month.

A minor medical procedure was performed on Khaleda Zia today (Friday). It was completed successfully, and she tolerated it well.”

The BNP chairperson’s personal physician said Khaleda Zia is currently being treated in the Critical Care Unit (CCU), which has all the facilities of an Intensive Care Unit (ICU). In simple terms, she is receiving treatment in a cabin equipped with ICU facilities.

Zahid Hossain also said that Khaleda Zia’s treatment is being conducted under a medical board comprising both local and foreign doctors. He sought prayers from the people of the country so that Allah continues this course of treatment.

In response to a question about whether Khaleda Zia’s condition has improved, he said, “At present, there has been no deterioration in her physical condition. The fact that today’s medical procedure was completed successfully proves that her condition remains stable.”
