Premier Cement Mills wins gold at ICMAB Award 2024

Premier Cement Mills PLC has once again secured the Gold Award in the Cement Manufacturing Category at the ICMAB Best Corporate Award 2024, recognising the company’s strong performance, corporate governance and financial transparency.

At the award ceremony held on Wednesday, at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Center in Dhaka, the trophy was received by Mr Fakhrul Islam, Group Advisor of Premier Cement Mills PLC, and Mr Md Selim Reza, FCA, CMA, Chief Financial Officer of the company.

The award was handed over by the chief guest of the event, Mr Sheikh Bashir Uddin, Honourable Adviser to the Ministry of Commerce, along with Mr Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce. Senior policymakers and regulators were also present at the ceremony, including Mr Md Abdur Rahman Khan, FCMA, Secretary of the Internal Resources Division (IRD) and Chairman of the National Board of Revenue (NBR).

Dr Md Sajjad Hossain Bhuiyan, Chairman of the Financial Reporting Council (FRC), attended the programme as a special guest.The ICMAB Best Corporate Award is regarded as one of the country’s most prestigious recognitions for corporate excellence, honouring companies for their commitment to sound financial reporting, transparency and good governance.
