Prayer ceremony held in Singra

A prayer ceremony was held for the recovery and long life of BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia.

The event took place on Tuesday afternoon at the Gol-e-Afroze College ground in Singra.

The ceremony was presided over by Sakhawat Hossain Sakha, coordinator of the BNP Ward and Member Registration Committee.

The chief guest, Principal Anwarul Islam Anu, the BNP nominee for Natore-3 (Singra) constituency and a district BNP member, delivered a speech.

The programme was conducted by Advocate Shamim Hossain, former Organisational Secretary and former Vice-Chairman of the Upazila BNP.

Other speakers included Professor Sharful Islam Bulbul, Secretary of the Upazila BNP Member Registration and Union Election Committee, Md Afsaruzzaman, former Chairman of Ramanand Khajura Union Parishad, Ibrahim Khalil Fotik, former Chairman of Kolom Union Parishad, Shahadat Hossain, former Chairman of Tajpur Union Parishad, Bojlar Rahman Bacchu, former Chairman of Italy Union Parishad, BNP members Atikur Rahman Liton, Mahidul Islam, Alhaj Rezaul Karim Bablu, Abdullah Al Kafi, coordinator of the Upazila Volunteer Party, and Shahadat Hossain Mintu, coordinator of the Upazila Student Party, among others.

The prayers and Milad ceremony were led by Maulana Asaduzzaman Asad, coordinator of the Upazila Ulama Party.
