On the second day of the three-day Military Engineer Services (MES) annual conference held at the Dhaka Cantonment MES Convention Hall, Navy Chief Admiral M. Nazmul Hasan attended as the chief guest.
The event was presided over by Bangldaesh Army Engineer-in-Chief Major General M. Hasan-uz-Zaman.
In his speech, the Navy Chief paid tribute to the martyrs of the Liberation War and the armed forces during this victory month, says an ISPR press release.
He praised MES as a reputed inter-service organization known for its dedication and efficiency. Emphasizing the motto “Service Before Self,” he encouraged MES personnel to embrace modern engineering technologies, digital project management, and eco-friendly construction practices. Admiral Hasan expressed confidence that through skilled manpower, sustainable design, and proper planning, MES will uphold its reputation by timely project execution.
He thanked participants for their role in defense infrastructure development and national progress and discussed various topics raised by MES officers. Admiral Hasan also toured construction material stalls set up for the conference.
On the final day, MES military and civilian officials will visit five leading national factories to inspect production quality and processes, aiming to enhance technical expertise that supports the quality of ongoing and future armed forces projects. The conference also included discussions on administrative, technical, financial, welfare, and training issues.
Directors from the Department of Public Works, service headquarters, MES directors and chief engineers from the army, navy, and air force, along with officials connected via VTC, attended the event.
