With this year’s theme, “Human Rights are an essential part of our daily lives,” the Narayanganj District Branch of the Journalists Society for Human Rights celebrated World Human Rights Day 2025 in a befitting manner.
A human chain programme and rally were held in front of Siddhirganj Pool S.M Tower on Wednesday morning, to uphold dignity, freedom, and justice for all. The chief guest of the programme was prominent journalist Advocate Manir Hossain, Central Chairman of the Journalists Society for Human Rights.
The event was organised under the chairmanship of Nurul Aziz Chowdhury, President of the Narayanganj District Branch of the Journalists Society for Human Rights and Editor and Publisher of the Daily Amader Jagran.
Attendees included District Branch General Secretary Md. Amir Hossain, journalist of the Daily Amar Sangbad; veteran journalist S. M. Mizan; Abul Khair; Md. Liton Mia; Abu Bakr Siddique Siam; Md. Sayhan; Mukta Akhter; among others.
Prominent journalist Advocate Manir Hossain, Central Chairman of the Journalists Society for Human Rights, remarked that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights was adopted by the United Nations on December 10, 1948, and since then, the day has been observed worldwide.
He said, “The main goal of this organization is to uphold human rights, establish justice, ensure freedom of speech, and promote democratic practices.
