The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is satisfied with the performance of Senior Assistant Coach Mohammad Salahuddin and newly appointed Batting Specialist Coach Mohammad Ashraful for their performance. Earlier, Mohammad Salahuddin submitted his resignation letter to BCB on November 5. But the BCB didn’t accept the resignation letter of Mohammad Salahuddin.

On the eve of Salahuddin’s resignation, the Board of Directors of the BCB discussed the matter. Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the BCB Najmul Abedin Fahim said to a local website, ” We talked about the resignation of Salahuddin. We didn’t accept his resignation. Thus, he will be senior assistant coach of the BCB until ICC 2027 World Cup according to the agreement between the BCB and Mohammad Salahuddin.”

Besides, Mohammad Ashraful will retain his post.
Mohammad Salahuddin has acted as senior assistant coach after getting his appointment in November of 2024. Earlier, he performed as assistant coach and fielding coach of Bangladesh National Cricket team from 2006 to 2011. Besides, Salahuddin acted as specialist coach of the BCB National Cricket Academy.

Fahim said, ” The BCB will retain the coaching panel regarding the ICC T20 World Cup, which will be held in India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8 in 2026.”

He also said, ” Those who are working now, they will retain their duty. If necessary, we shall add another persons.”

Bangladesh won the two-match Test series 2-0 and clinched the T20I series 2-1 against Ireland recently. Thus, the BCB is highly satisfied with Mohammad Ashraful and also Mohammad Salahuddin. So, they will retain their respective jobs.
