Soon, two actresses of Dhallywood, Apu Biswas and Bidya Sinha Mim, will return to the silver screen. On the other hand, Tania Brishty, a regular face in contemporary dramas, is preparing to return to the big screen after nearly six years.
Apu Biswas last appeared in Lal Shari, produced by her own production company. The shooting was completed at the end of 2022. She is returning under the direction of the same director, Bondhon Biswas.
The new film is titled Secret, and Ador Azad will star opposite Apu. This will be the first film pairing of the two. Shooting is scheduled to begin in December.
Speaking about her return to films, Apu Biswas said, “I am ready to return to work. I am preparing for a new film and will do my best to meet the audience’s expectations.”
It is also rumored that, besides Secret, Apu Biswas has joined another film in which she will again star alongside Ador Azad.
Bidya Sinha Mim has begun shooting a new film, whose title has not yet been finalized. Arifin Shuvoo will star opposite her, marking the third film pairing of the two. The action-genre film is being directed by Saif Chandan.
A picture of Arifin Shuvoo from the shooting set has already gone viral on social media. The film is scheduled to release on the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr. Besides films, Mim will also appear on OTT platforms in the new year.
She has already completed shooting a web series, though she did not want to provide details before the production company’s official announcement.
Tania Brishty began her film career in 2015 with Akram Khan’s Ghasful. She appeared in a few more films but did not achieve significant success on the silver screen. Her last film, Gowendagiri, was released in 2019.
After a long hiatus, Tania Brishty is returning to the big screen. She will be seen in Raihan Khan’s Tribunal. Shooting for the film has already been completed.
The story of Tribunal combines courtroom drama with crime thriller elements. The cast also includes Tarik Anam Khan, Ador Azad, Moushumi Hamid, Rakib Hossain Evan, Saira Akter Jahan, and Milan Bhattacharya, among others.
