Special Bulletin No. 11 on Cyclone ‘Ditwah’Issued by the Bangladesh Meteorological Department, the cyclone ‘Ditwah’ was located southwest of key sea ports on Sunday.
Winds near the center were sustained at 62 km/h, with gusts up to 88 km/h, causing rough seas.
The cyclone is moving northward, prompting the Meteorological Department to hoist a number 2 distant warning signal at Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla, and Payra sea ports.
Fishing boats and trawlers in the northern Bay of Bengal are advised to avoid deep sea until further notice.
Meanwhile, the weather forecast predicts partly cloudy skies and dry weather nationwide with nearly unchanged day and night temperatures.
The department also warned that early December may bring a one to two-degree drop in night temperature and a slight decrease in daytime temperature.
