Sylhet Bureau :
Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) VP Sadiq Kayem said, no one can run Bangladesh with prescriptions from London. To run Bangladesh, one has to be a leader of the country’s soil and people.
He said these things at a
student and youth gathering organized by the Upazila Jamaat at the Sadar Primary School ground of Companygonj Thana in Sylhet on Saturday afternoon.
The Jamaat-supported candidate for Sylhet-4 constituency, Sylhet District Jamaat Secretary Joynal Abedin, was present as the chief guest at the gathering.
VP Sadiq said, in the past, the law and order forces have been used as a truncheon of a party. The fascist structure will continue in this new Bangladesh. In the new Bangladesh, the power will be in the hands of the people, the people will take the decisions. The future Bangladesh will be run through the decisions of the people. If someone wants to take away the rights of the people, then his consequences will be worse than Sheikh Hasina’s.
He said, a generation has been created through the July Revolution, and they have decided that they will stand for justice. A new Bangladesh will be built in the light of the aspirations and expectations of the youth. The youth of the country have already taken a stand for justice. Representatives of justice have won in Dhaksu, Raksu, Jaksu and Chaksu. Representatives of justice will win in every seat of the country in the upcoming elections, getting the landslide mandate of the people and establishing justice. They will return the power of the people to the hands of the people.
He said, India has oppressed us a lot in the past. The fascists indulged in Delhi’s brokerage. Delhi’s brokerage will no longer continue in this independent Bangladesh. Bangladesh will no longer run on India’s prescription. Bangladesh will run in the light of the expectations of the people of the country and the aspirations of the martyrs. Delhi’s rule will not continue in Bangladesh. At the same time, if someone wants to run Bangladesh from London, they will not be able to do that either. No one will be able to run Bangladesh even with a prescription from London.
Sadiq Kayem said, there will be no more killings on the border. If a body falls on the border, 180 million people will join hands in protest and resistance. Every border killing of the past will be judged.
He also said, you have to become a leader of the masses by mixing with the soil and people of the country. You have to prove yourself through work and qualifications. If you don’t do that, the people of the country will show you a red card if you want to establish a fascist reign like Hasina.
