Dhaka is set to host the Global Sourcing Expo 2025 for the first time at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition Center in Purbachal from December 1 to 3. The event is being organized by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce.
The expo aims to highlight Bangladesh’s export potential on the international stage while fostering stronger global business connections.
Ahead of the event, a press briefing was held on Thursday at the EPB conference room, where Vice Chairman and CEO Mohammad Hasan Arif shared details about the expo. EPB Director General Baby Rani Karmakar, Md. Akhter Hossain Azad, and other senior officials were also present.
The briefing covered the expo’s goals, preparations, foreign participation, and strategies to boost the country’s export growth.
The three-day event will attract buyers, investors, and sourcing organizations from countries including Afghanistan, China, Iran, Japan, Myanmar, Pakistan, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, UAE, and the US. Over 100 organizations from eight major export sectors ready-made garments, leather, jute, agriculture, plastics and kitchenware, home decor and furniture, pharmaceuticals, and ICT will take part.
Multinational companies, wholesalers, supply chain representatives, and global decision-makers will also participate, creating new opportunities for Bangladeshi manufacturers and exporters.
The expo will feature 10 specialized seminars, B2B meetings (online and offline), more than 150 stalls, networking dinners, and fashion shows. By showcasing Bangladesh’s diverse industries, the event will provide exporters a platform to explore new markets, forge long-term partnerships, and strengthen their international presence.
The Global Sourcing Expo 2025 is expected to open new horizons for Bangladesh’s export sector and further position the country as a trusted global sourcing hub.
