Raihan Kabir new N’ganj DC

Md. Raihan Kabir has officially taken charge as the new Deputy Commissioner (DC) and District Magistrate of Narayanganj.

He was welcomed with bouquets by Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Alamgir Hossain, Additional District Magistrate Nilufa Yasmin, Additional Superintendent of Police Tasmin Akter, Naima Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner of the Local Government Division, the Upazila Nirbahi Officers of the district, and other officials of the district administration.

He assumed his duties on Monday afternoon. Later, he held a meeting with the officials at the conference room of the Circuit House.

After the meeting, he visited the Treasury Branch, where he was given a Guard of Honour.

After taking charge, he said that he would work to transform Narayanganj into a well-coordinated, modern, and citizen-friendly district.

Ensuring proper monitoring of development projects, improving law and order, and enhancing the quality of public services would be his top priorities.

Before joining as the Deputy Commissioner of Narayanganj, he served as a Deputy Secretary in the Public Division of the Cabinet Division.

With this new appointment, he has taken on the highest administrative responsibility at the district level for the first time.

Throughout his career, Md. Raihan Kabir has served in several important offices, including the Service, ICT, Applications and Funds, and Constitution and Law-related branches.

According to ministry sources, he is well-known for establishing good governance, effective coordination, and ensuring prompt public service.

Meanwhile, various social, educational, and business organizations in the district have congratulated the new Deputy Commissioner and expressed hope that his experience and professionalism will further accelerate the overall development activities of Narayanganj.
