Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET) started the eight-day long ‘Book Festival-2025’ with a colorful program on Sunday to encourage the development of knowledge and creativity.
Organized by the Director (Student Welfare) Office of KUET and in collaboration with Ashfia Library Khulna, the festival will continue from November 16 to November 23.
The book festival, organized at the premises of KUET’s Student Welfare Center, was officially inaugurated by the Honorable Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Md. Maksud Helali. Director (Student Welfare) Professor Dr. B. M. Ikramul Haque was present as the president of the inaugural ceremony.
Besides, teachers from various departments were present as guests. The chief guest said in his speech, “Books are a great friend of man and an endless source of knowledge.
This book festival will play an important role in increasing the reading habit of students and building a thoughtful society.”
He wished the success of the book fair and urged the students to come to the fair and collect their favorite books.
At the end of the inauguration, the guests visited the various stalls of the fair. A vast collection of books from renowned publishing houses of the country has been kept at the fair, where books of different genres can be found. This book festival will run from 10 am to 8 pm every day.
