Five-day Cubs Camp begins

A five-day Cubs Camp has commenced in Natore. Organised by the Bangladesh Scouts, Natore District Branch, the camp was formally inaugurated on Saturday, 8 November, at noon at the Kanai Khali Field of the Sadar Upazila Mini Stadium by Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen.

The inauguration ceremony, presided over by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education & ICT) and District Scouts Commissioner Jannat Ara Ferdous, featured speeches from Natore Superintendent of Police, Tariqul Islam, District Primary Education Officer, Abdul Hannan, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer, Arif Adnan, and Regional Deputy Director of Bangladesh Scouts, Abdur Rashid.

At the inaugural assembly, Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen said that Scouts activities teach students to be good and humane individuals.

She added that participation in the camp would help students develop personally, grow into compassionate human beings, enhance their talents, acquire problem-solving skills, and ultimately become honest and responsible citizens of the country.

S.M. Golam Mohi Uddin, Secretary of the Bangladesh Scouts District Branch and Member Secretary of the Cubs Camp, stated that 600 participants, including cub scouts, unit leaders, volunteers, and officers, are attending the camp from 75 primary schools across Natore district.

The camp features a variety of activities, including the Cubs Programme, Circle Formation, Grand Yell, Rope Work, Cubs Expedition, Talent Development, Friendship Building, Fun and Game Carnival, Primary Protocol, and Mega Tent Jalsa, among other events.
