Sunerah changes herself

Entertainment Report :

Modelling, cinema, OTT, television dramas – Sunerah Binte Kamal has showcased her talent in every medium.

Sunerah said, “I’m constantly working and keeping myself involved in different forms of work.

This way, my schooling in acting has been ongoing. Acting is such a vast field that I can’t really say how mature I’ve become in it.

I’m a workaholic. I feel frustrated when I’m not working. Now, I find joy only through my work.”

In 2019, she received the National Film Award for Best Actress for her performance in the movie ‘No Dorai’.

She was also praised for her acting in the short film ‘Moshari’. During Eid-ul-Fitr, her film ‘Daagi’ was released, followed by Tanim Noor’s film ‘Utsob’ on Eid-ul-Azha.

Sunerah’s films are known for their character variations – she appears in a completely different role every time.

When asked about this, she replied, “I love taking on challenges.

Every time, I’ve enjoyed the challenging process of becoming the character. For an actor, that’s where the true peace and fulfillment lie.”

Sunerah began her journey in television dramas in 2022 with ‘Shunnyo Theke Shuru’, acting alongside Tahsan. Since then, she has appeared in one after another drama, portraying diverse characters in different stories.

Although she started as a film actress, Sunerah is now more active in TV dramas. Why is that? She explained, “There’s no particular reason. I’m always learning.

I’ve done films and OTT projects. One of my seniors advised me to try acting in dramas to gain experience in that arena. I took that advice and gave it a try. In doing so, I somehow became a regular in TV dramas.”

Recently, Sunerah joined a TV serial for the first time – ‘Eita Amader Golpo’, directed by Mohammad Mostafa Kamal Raz.

The actress said, “This is my first time acting in a TV serial – a completely new experience. Honestly, I can’t sit idle anymore. Doing nothing makes me feel depressed.

While working in films, there are often long gaps between projects. I’ve also taken acting courses regularly. I can’t afford to waste my free time – I have to keep practicing acting continuously. Acting in dramas helps me do that.

Whether it’s drama, OTT, or cinema – it’s all acting. However, each medium has its own unique characteristics. Acting isn’t just about showing your face on screen – it’s a spiritual connection.”

A few years ago, everyone knew Sunerah as a lively and outgoing girl who loved spending time with friends, chatting, and hanging out. But now, she has changed.

When asked why, she said, “I’ve become more responsible now. I have my family – my parents and younger brother – we’re a happy family. So, I don’t spend much time outside work.

Everyone says I’ve become much calmer. Honestly, people change over time – for different reasons, in different ways.”
