About two years ago, director Redoan Rony announced a new movie. He had said that Chanchal Chowdhury would star in a movie titled ‘Domm’.
Last July, it was announced that Afran Nisho would be in it with Chanchal Chowdhury. Since then, speculations have started about the heroine of ‘Domm’.
Many names including Jaya Ahsan and Swastika Mukherjee were being heard. Puja Cherry was the most discussed.
However, news spread since yesterday morning that Mehazabien Chowdhury would be the heroine of ‘Domm’.
Finally, all the rumours were dispelled and Puja Cherry’s name was announced as the heroine of ‘Domm’ at the movie’s mahurat on Tuesday evening.
Puja Cherry was introduced dramatically at the mahurat ceremony. After the two actors Chanchal and Afran Nisho finished speaking at the ceremony, the heroine entered riding a palanquin.
Nisho brought Puja down from the palanquin, which was surrounded by a curtain.
Puja looked really nervous while talking about the movie ‘Domm’. The heroine said that she had prepared a lot of things to say, but she got confused on the stage.
At this time, Puja said that she was finalised for the movie ‘Domm’ after auditioning.
Puja Cherry said, “Thank you to everyone involved in the film ‘Domm’ for including me in this film. I had to audition for the character in this film.
After that, I was finalised. Although I worked with Chanchal Dada in my childhood, this will be my first time working with Nisho Bhai. I hope that together we can give a good work.”
The film is based on a true story of survival. The poster released two years ago showed a boy kneeling in front of a donkey in a desert surrounded by mountains. He is blindfolded.
It is believed that the film will depict the struggle of expatriates who migrated to different countries in the Middle East in the hope of a better life.
Although Saudi Arabia and Jordan have been mentioned as the shooting locations for the movie ‘Domm’, the makers have planned to shoot the film in Kazakhstan. The shooting will begin soon.
The movie is being produced by SVF-Alpha Eye Entertainment Limited and Chorki. ‘Domm’ will be released on Eid next year.
