Voices for Palestine: A Solidarity Event Held at BUFT

 

BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) organized a day-long event titled “Voices for Palestine: A Solidarity Event” on 30 October 2025, at its Permanent Campus Auditorium in Nishatnagar, Turag, Dhaka. The program aimed to express solidarity with the people of Palestine and raise awareness about their ongoing humanitarian struggle. His Excellency Mr. Yousef S. Y. Ramadan, Ambassador of the State of Palestine to Bangladesh, graced the event as the Chief Guest while the session was chaired by Mr. Faruque Hassan, Chairman, Board of Trustees (BoT), BUFT. The event was also honored by the presence of distinguished guests including Prof. Dr. Engr. Ayub Nabi Khan, Acting Vice Chancellor, BUFT, as the Guest of Honor, along with Mr. Mohammed Nasir, Member, BoT of BUFT; and Mufti Saiful Islam, Khotib, Masjid-Ut-Taqwa, Dhanmondi, as Special Guests.

Speakers emphasized the significance of global unity, human rights, and youth involvement in promoting peace and justice for Palestine. Officer, faculty, Students, and guests expressed solidarity through speeches, discussions, and exhibition performances. Chief Guest H.E. Mr. Yousef S. Y. Ramadan appreciated BUFT for organizing an event that embodies humanity and global solidarity, while Chair Mr. Faruque Hassan lauded it as a reflection of BUFT’s commitment to nurturing socially conscious and globally aware students. The event concluded with a Documentary Screening, Art Exhibition, and Photo Gallery Walk, conveying a powerful message of unity, compassion, and lasting support for Palestine.
