Akbar Ali to captain as BCB names squad for Hong Kong Sixes

The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced on Wednesday the Bangladesh squad for the Hong Kong Sixes tournament, which is scheduled to be held at Hong Kong Recreation Ground from November 7 to November 9. Akbar Ali will lead Bangladesh Cricket squad as the captain in the six-a-side cricket competition.
A total of 12 teams will take part in the cricket meet. They are: Hosts Hong Kong, China, Kuwait, Nepal, UAE, Australia, Bangladesh, England, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and South Africa.
Bangladesh played in the semi-final of the last edition of Hong Kong Sixes tournament.
All-rounder Abu Hider, hard-hitter opener Jisan Alam, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mosaddek Hossain, left-arm spinner Rakibul Hasan and pace bowler Tofael Ahmed have been included in the Bangladesh squad.
Jisan Alam captured six wickets and scored 152 runs with an average of 76 in the last edition of Hong Kong Sixes. He played four matches. Mohammad Saifuddin claimed three wickets playing four matches in the last edition of Hong Kong Sixes.
Bangladesh squad: Akbar Ali (Captain), Abu Hider, Jisan Alam, Mohammad Saifuddin, Mosaddek Hossain, Rakibul Hasan and Tofael Ahmed.
