ONE Bank receives prestigious ISO/IEC certification

ONE Bank has been awarded the internationally recognized ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certificate by Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh) Pvt. Ltd., a French-based certification authority, for meeting global standards in information security management.

The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 standard sets requirements for establishing, implementing, and maintaining an Information Security Management System (ISMS) to protect sensitive data. Bureau Veritas conducted a thorough audit of ONE Bank’s IT operations, data center, and disaster recovery site to verify compliance with the standard,according to press release.

The certificate was handed over to Mr. Shabbir Ahmed, Managing Director (Current Charge) of ONE Bank, by Sohel Azad, Country Manager of Bureau Veritas (Bangladesh), at a ceremony held at the bank’s corporate headquarters onlast week.

The event was attended by senior officials of ONE Bank, including John Sarkar, Adviser of ONE Securities Limited, and Md. Anwarul Islam, Deputy Managing Director & Head of Legal Affairs & Recovery Division, along with representatives from Bureau Veritas.

ONE Bank has been certified under the ISO 27001:2013 version since 2022 and has now upgraded to the latest 2022 version, demonstrating its ongoing commitment to global best practices in information security.
