Institution heads asked to submit MPO bills by October 27

Staff Reporter:

The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has directed all heads of secondary and higher educational institutions across the country to submit their respective Monthly Pay Order (MPO) bills for October by October 27.

The instruction came through an official circular issued on Sunday, signed by Professor B. M. Abdul Hannan, Director (College and Administration) of DSHE.

According to the notification, since January 2025, MPO payments for teachers and employees under the directorate have been made through the Government Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT) system, ensuring direct deposits into individual bank accounts up to July 2025.

From August 2025, the process of submitting and verifying MPO data has been made completely online. Institutional heads are required to log in to the DSHE portal (www.emis.gov.bd) using their assigned ID and password to verify and submit the MPO data for all eligible teachers and staff.

Following the guidelines, each institution head must accurately calculate and upload the payable MPO amount for every teacher and employee. Based on this verified data, the MPO funds will be transferred directly to the respective bank accounts through the EFT system.

If any teacher or staff member listed in the MPO register has passed away, resigned, been suspended, or remained absent without approval, the institution head must determine the payable amount in accordance with the relevant rules before submitting the bill.

The information submitted by institution heads will be treated as final for MPO disbursement purposes. Any payment failure arising from incorrect information will be the sole responsibility of the respective head of the institution.

In this regard, all heads of educational institutions under the DSHE have been requested to log in to the designated portal (www.emis.gov.bd) and submit their October 2025 MPO bills by October 27 without delay.
