Pakistan HC meets DU VC

Pakistan High Commissioner to Bangladesh Shuja Alam called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique at the latter’s office of the university on Tuesday.
Cultural Secretary of the Pakistan High Commission Galib Ramzan and DU Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman and faculty members of the Department of Urdu were present on the occasion, among others.
During the meeting, they discussed matters of mutual interest, especially about strengthening academic and research programmes among universities of Pakistan and Dhaka University.
They also talked about initiatives to undertake joint collaborative programmes including teachers and students exchange programmes.
The Pakistani delegation expressed interest in establishing Allama Iqbal Chair in the university.
The DU Vice-Chancellor thanked the High Commissioner for his visit to the university and hoped that the existing bilateral relationship would be further strengthened in future.
